Kim Hughes Shield The Kim Hughes Shield is Western Australia's top tier competition (limited overs format) available to all secondary schools across WA. The 6-8 week competition is held over Term 4 and Term 1 for Years 10-12. Schools can enter only ONE team per school. Nominations open 22nd July 2024 (Week 2, T3) and close 2nd September 2024 (Week 8, T3). The Grand Final will be held on 3rd April 2025 (Date TBC) at the WACA Ground (pending Ground availability). Champions will receive a championship shield and medallions and there may be additional prizes on offer. REGISTER HERE Registrations close on Monday 2nd September 2024 Graeme Wood Shield The Graeme Wood Shield is a second-tier competition (T20 format) available to all secondary schools across WA. The 6-8 week competition is held over Term 1 (starting week 3 or 4) for Years 10-12. This competition is divided into an A Division and a B Division. Schools can enter up to two teams. * Only one team per division can progress through to Finals. Nominations open 22nd July 2024 (Week 2, T3) and close 1st November 2024 (Week 4, T4). Semi Finals for both divisions will take place on Wednesday 26th March 2025 (TBC). Grand Final for the B Division will be on Tuesday 1st April 2025 (TBC) and will be played on a hard wicket. Grand Final for the A Division will be on Thursday 3rd April 2025 (TBC) and will be played at the WACA Ground (pending ground availability). Champions will receive a championship shield and medallions and there may be additional prizes on offer. REGISTER HERE Registrations close on Friday 1st November 2024 WA Cricket School Girls Representative Match – Expression of Interest This match is open to all girls in Year 9-12, to register their interest for selection in one of the two teams. Teams will be a combine schools' team, evenly matched with the top 24 players selected based on club and school performance. Selection is done through a selection group from High Performance, Community Cricket and selected Schools representatives from the WA Cricket Education Advisory Committee. Trials may be required for final selection. Dates TBC The match will be held alongside the Boys Schools Representative Match on Friday 21 March 2025.
