Brody Couch moved across the Nullarbor to join WA ahead of the 2024-25 domestic season, having tallied 31 wickets at 22.84 for Northcote across all First Grade Premier Cricket competitions in 2023-24.
The skiddy right-arm pace bowler played one Sheffield Shield match and six One-Day Cup games while contracted by Victoria between 2020-21 and 2022-23.
Couch made an immediate impression during his first season in the West, with his ability to swing the ball at high pace earning him a spot in WA's side. He finished his first Sheffield Shield season in the West with 23 wickets at 25.65.
Couch also impressed in his lone One-Day Cup match of the 2024-25 season, taking 3-45 against Queensland at the GABBA.
After injury delayed the start to his 2025-26 season, Couch still made an impact for his new state, taking 19 wickets at 28.52 in the Sheffield Shield.
It capped an impressive summer for Couch, who featured in the Scorchers team that defeated Sydney Sixers in the BBL|15 Final.
