Vale Suzanne Metcalf
A forceful right-handed batter, Metcalf started her cricket career for Collingwood in the Victorian Women’s Cricket Association.
After moving to Western Australia with her husband Ed, she continued her cricket career with South Perth Cricket Club.
Metcalf made her debut for WA against a touring England side at Rosalie Park in Subiaco in 1968, where she top scored for her side with 31.
In making her debut, she became the WA’s 98th representative.
Just days later, Metcalf was named in the WA Composite XI that took on England at the WACA Ground.
WA Cricket sends its deepest condolences to Metcalf’s family and friends.
