WA Announce Three Teams for Perth Based National Cricket Inclusion Championships

Western Australia have named three squads for the upcoming National Cricket Inclusion Championships (NCIC), which is being held across the Perth Metropolitan area and Peel region, from 12-16 January.

WA will be represented across three divisions, Blind and Low Vision, Cricketers with an Intellectual Disability, and Men’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing. 

The Championships have been running since the summer of 2017 and provides players of all abilities to showcases their cricketing skills at the highest domestic level. 

WA Cricket Disability Programs Coordinator Annie Rogan said it is a fantastic achievement for WA to play host to the Championships. 

“It’s been a big summer of cricket here in WA already and it is exciting that the NCIC’s will also be calling Perth home this season. 

“The Championships are a fantastic initiative from Cricket Australia, allowing players of all abilities to shine on the biggest stage.

“With the support of the WA Cricket Foundation, we continually strive to ensure that everyone gets the enjoy the game of cricket through our programs and High-Performance pathways. 

“We are incredibly proud of our players and excited to see them play in their home state.”
