Adam Voges To Finish As Men's Head Coach At Season's End

WA men’s team Head Coach Adam Voges will depart the role at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.

Having played 112 Sheffield Shield matches for WA across 15 years, Voges took over from Justin Langer in the Head Coaching role ahead of the 2018-19 season.

Voges oversaw WA’s famous three-peat of Sheffield Shield titles in season 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24.

He also steered WA to One-Day Cup titles in season 2018-19, 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 to stamp himself as one of the State’s most decorated Head Coaches.

Voges leaves the role to pursue coaching opportunities in franchise cricket.

Voges said his time as WA Men’s team Head Coach had been extremely rewarding.

“I’m incredibly thankful to have had the opportunity to be in the role over the past eight seasons,” he said.

“We have enjoyed an incredible amount of success over the past four seasons, which is a credit to everyone involved in the side.

“It’s also been really pleasing to oversee many players from WA take the step to international duty and excel playing for their country.”

As well as a stunning run of success at State level, Voges also steered Perth Scorchers to titles in BBL|11 and BBL|12.

As a player, Voges scored 7,522 runs at 44.77 at Sheffield Shield level, including 19 centuries.

Only Justin Langer, Tom Moody, Shaun Marsh and Mike Hussey have scored more runs for WA in the Sheffield Shield.

Voges also excelled in the 50-over format of the game, notching 3,133 runs at 42.91 in 91 matches, third to Langer and Marsh for most runs in the format.

WA Cricket will continue discussions with Voges around coaching Perth Scorchers in the KFC BBL.
