Ballajura Landsdale host annual charity match

Funds raised were donated to Richmond Wellbeing who have been providing mental health education to cricket clubs throughout Perth through their Bouncing Back program.

Money was also raised through canteen sales and raffle tickets, and attendees had the chance to win signed bats, shirts, and other goods donated from the local community.

The annual fixture launched in 2018/19 when Ballajura Cricket Club hosted Lansdale Cricket Club before the two clubs merged.

North Beach Carine Cricket Club participated in last month’s match and Osborne Park Cricket Club and Warwick Greenwood Cricket Club have taken part previously.

Ballajura Landsdale’s fundraising efforts and positive approach to mental health education has seen them named as a finalist for the Healthway Healthy Club Award at the 2023 Sport West Awards with the winner to be announced on February 29.
