Alcohol.Think Again Western Warriors batsman Marcus Harrishas successfully raised almost $4,000 for Redkite after completing Sunday's Perth Half Marathon.
The 22-year-old took on his first-ever Half Marathon, supported by WACA Player Development Manager Angie Bain who ran alongside him, in the name of charity.
Redkite is the WACA's charity partner and close to home for Harris, whose two-year-old niece Siena has leukaemia. Redkite have supported Siena's family throughout the process.
"It has been a very difficult journey for my family and me," Harris wrote in his Everyday Hero story.
"Siena was diagnosed when she was 14-months-old and it turned our lives upside down. There were countless trips to Princess Margaret Hospital, often staying for days and weeks on-end.
"Throughout the whole experience, Redkite has supported my family and, most importantly, my sister through the challenges that cancer brings."
The pair completed the 21km run in one hour and 44 minutes, bettering Harris' goal of one hour and 50 minutes.
At the time of writing, Harris's Everyday Hero campaign had raised $3,989, just short of his initial goal of $4,000.
