Marsh Cup matches initially scheduled to take place at the WACA Ground in the coming days have been postponed but will be played at the venue at a later date.

Western Australia will open the domestic season on Wednesday 22 September with a Marsh One-Day Cup match against South Australia at Karen Rolton Oval in Adelaide.

The same two sides will go head-to-head at the same venue for the opening Marsh Sheffield Shield fixture, beginning on Friday 24 September.

The Women’s National Cricket League will now be played entirely after the Weber WBBL|07 season is completed, with the first game scheduled for December 16 with the final set down for March 6.

The full revised domestic schedules for the Marsh Sheffield Shield, Marsh Cup and WNCL will be released in due course.

WA Cricket General Manager – High Performance Kade Harvey said;

“We understand we need to remain flexible as we navigate through the challenges of scheduling cricket around border restrictions.

“We’re looking forward to beginning our Shield season in Adelaide against South Australia as planned, and we’re confident our postponed Marsh Cup matches will be confirmed for the WACA Ground in the near future.

“WA remains well placed to host domestic cricket, we’ll keep working closely with state associations and CA to ensure our teams play as much cricket at home as possible this summer.”
