Bryant was elected as a Members Representative on the WACA Executive team in 1981-82 and served for 14 years.

He then became a vice-president in 1995-96 and stood for nine years. In the interim he chaired the WACA  Appeal Board from 1981-82 and was Chairman of the WACA Membership sub-committee.

Bryant received Honorary Life Membership of the WACA in 2002, following in the footsteps of his father, Richard (awarded Life Membership in 1956), and uncle, Frank (1972).

Upon being awarded Life Membership, Bryant said: “It is incredibly gratifying to be involved with such a wonderful organisation as the WACA”.

On field, Bryant played club cricket for University and Mount Lawley.

He was a devoted husband to June, loving dad of Michael, Mandy, Richard and Robert, and father-in-law to Marita, Nicholas and Gabrielle, and beloved grandpa to Henry.
