WA’s best regional cricketers set for CSBP Men’s Country Week showdown

Western Australia’s leading regional cricketers have descended on Perth with the 2025–26 CSBP Senior Men’s Country Week well and truly underway.

Representing communities from East Pilbara in the north to Albany in the south, the Eastern Goldfields and regions across the Wheatbelt and Mid-West, teams are competing across multiple metropolitan venues in one of the most anticipated fixtures on the country cricket calendar.

The prestigious tournament brings together the strongest senior country sides from across the state, with bragging rights and Country Week honours on the line across a week of high-quality, multi-day and limited-overs cricket, culminating in finals on Friday 23 January.

Last year's competition saw Geraldton take home A-section honours with a 50-run win over Albany at the WACA Ground.

Peel Country were victorious in the B-section final, overcoming Bunbury & Districts by seven wickets.

West Pilbara enjoyed a thrilling four-run win over Port Hedland to salute in the C-section decider, while Busselton Margaret River were resounding winners over West Pilbara in the D-section final.

Eastern Goldfields, meanwhile, celebrated an E-section triumph against Busselton Margaret River.

The CSBP Senior Men's Country Week A-section final will again be played on WACA Ground, providing those involved with the chance to etch their names in history at one of global cricket's most iconic venues.

WA Cricket Area Manager – Country, Andrew Hayes, said CSBP Senior Men’s Country Week remained a cornerstone event for regional cricket in Western Australia.

“CSBP Senior Men’s Country Week is a flagship event for country cricket, showcasing the depth of talent and the fierce pride regional communities have in representing their areas,” Hayes said.

“For many players, this week is the pinnacle of their season. Teams prepare for months, travel huge distances and arrive in Perth ready to test themselves against the very best from across regional WA.

“Beyond the competition, Senior Men’s Country Week is about connection, bringing together players, coaches and volunteers who share a passion for the game and strengthening the bonds between regional associations.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support of CSBP Fertilisers, whose commitment to Country Week ensures this event remains a highlight of the cricket calendar for regional players.”

Fixtures, results and ladders for the 2025–26 CSBP Senior Men’s Country Week will be available via PlayHQ throughout the tournament.

The Country Week program continues later in January with CSBP Senior Women’s Country Week (24–26 January).
